Katherine Rossiter, Soprano

Katherine Rossiter, soprano, from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is a fourth year Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance candidate at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) this fall where she studies with Dr. Gwen Detwiler. While at CCM, Katherine has performed in Serse, Le Nozze di Figaro, and the roles of Le Feu and Le Rossignol in L’enfant et les sortiléges. This year she will sing the role of Morgana in CCM Opera d’arte’s production of Alcina. Favorite roles performed outside of CCM include Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, Cosette in Les Miserables, and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. In addition, Katherine has been a young artist at Songfest in Los Angeles, CA, as well as a Studio Artist with Opera on the Avalon in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
