Ben Flanders is a former professional horn player and teacher, but has always had an interest in singing. While at CCM as a horn performance major he took voice lessons and sang in CCM’s Chamber Choir under the direction of Earl Rivers. Currently he is pursuing a career as a singer and a teacher of the Alexander Technique. He trained in Alexander Technique at the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique and he was certified to teach in 2010. Beginnning during his teacher training, he began studying voice intensively with Kathryn Armour, and later Brad Caldwell. He appears regularly in recital, is a member of Vocal Arts Ensemble, and the Cincinnati Fusion Ensemble, and has appeared with NANOWorks Opera, Collegium Cincinnati and others.
